Subsea Global Solutions maintains a very seasoned management team with experts compiled from several maritime, diving and service related industries. Our management team embrace our 6 core values and inspire our employees to do the same.

Paul Peters started his career in commercial diving as a summer intern in 1986 in Miami, Florida.  A native of Minnesota he returned to the Midwest to complete his BA degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Wisconsin River Falls where he also played 4 years of basketball.  Over 30 years Paul has sat in almost every seat in SGS including diving, operations, finance, and various management positions. He was a key part of the merger strategy to create one organization and was named CEO in 2013 of Subsea Global Solutions. He is an avid sports fan that follows all the local South Florida teams and likes to escape to the North Carolina mountains for a little peace and quiet.

Rick Shilling has been involved with the maritime industry for over 25 years and has spent the last 10 years with Subsea Global Solutions in business development. A graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY with a degree in Marine Engineering Systems, Rick has remained a leader (both in the field and in management) in marine services for his entire professional career. A resident of New York State, where he resides with his wife and two children, Rick is active in his community as a first responder and K-9 trainer for Disaster and Wilderness Ground Searchers Inc., a professional volunteer K-9 Search and Rescue team. As a certified K-9 handler with two certified K-9s, Rick has successfully supported Search and Rescue operations with his K-9's throughout New York and Connecticut.

Doug has over 30 years of experience in diving, dive operations and ships husbandry, primarily working with, on and alongside military and civilian dive operations and ships.Doug started his carrier with the US Navy by entering their diving program. He logged over 10,000 hours of underwater dive time primarily executing hull cleaning, vessel repairs and ships husbandry. Doug transitioned from the US Navy and continued working with the US Navy and naval operations globally as a specialized contractor. Doug's hands on and management experience gives SGS invaluable knowledge in all aspects of diving operations, dive safety programs, and environmental coordination. On his off time, Doug enjoys time at his home in the North Carolina Mountains woodworking, playing with the ATV's and hiking with his wife.

Elizabeth joined Subsea Global Solutions in April of 2014. Prior to joining Subsea Global Solutions, Elizabeth spent 14 years with Ingersoll Rand holding a variety of positions culminating in becoming District Finance Leader for Central America and Caribbean. During her tenure at IR, Elizabeth opened five Greenfield offices throughout Central America and Caribbean and was responsible for financial oversight, forecasting and strategic planning.

Elizabeth earned both her Bachelor's in Accounting/International Business and Master's in Accounting from Florida International University.

Harun has joined Subsea Global Solutions in October 2016. Prior to that, he has worked for 16 years with V.Ships, the largest ship management company in the world. During his tenure with V.Group, he has held a number of key international positions, including setting up and managing the Group's Istanbul office since 2004, and heading up the Business Development function for its largest region, Europe, Middle East and Africafor the last four years. With strategic assignments in Greece, UAE, Qatar, Singapore, Monaco, Germany, and UK,Harun's areas of expertise in the commercial shipping industry expandedfrom ship management to oil & gas (offshore assets) with exposure to most vessel types that SGS is servicing.

Originally a deck officer with a nautical degree from Istanbul Technical University Maritime Faculty, Harun holds a PgD in Marine Management from Southampton Solent University – UK, and an Executive MBA degree from Koc University – Istanbul.

A member of the International Propeller Club, Harun is now residing in the beautiful city of Weston - Miami, with his wife Hilkat and their son Doruk and daughter Duru. He enjoys running, open water swimming and (when he can train for) triathlon races.

Kevin Peters is a VP of Business Development at Subsea Global Solutions LLC. He is a former US Marine and received his commercial diving training at the coastal school of deep-sea diving in Oakland California in 1982. Kevin started his career at Miami Diver LLC. in 1983. In 2000 he became president of Miami Diver's operations in the US and the Caribbean. With 30 years plus experience in underwater ship repair and husbandry Kevin has helped significantly in the growth and development of Miami Diver LLC. to a globally recognized company in the maritime community. Under Kevin's leadership Miami Diver in 1998 became the first company in the world to qualify Class A wet weld procedures to the AWS D3.6 Standard approved by Lloyds Register of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd. He was instrumental in the negotiations and process that merged Miami Diver with Parker Diving from Long beach, California. With this merger he created a new company Subsea Global Solutions LLC. He has since become very proactive in equipment design and development for underwater hull cleaning as well as developing environmentally friendly procedures for hull cleaning operations in ports around the world. When he isn't talking to a customer in some shipping hub around the world or looking for the next logical location for new Subsea Global Solutions office locations, you can find Kevin on his boat diving and fishing off Miami Beach or baking artisan bread in his wood fired oven. He currently resides in Davie, Florida with his wife Carol and his two daughters Kaylee and Olivia.

Tim Duncan has been involved in Diving for over 30 years, in all corners of the world. Tim has been providing diving services within the shipping community for over 20 years. He is the founding member of Miami Diver international in Curacao in 1997 and has lead its expansion into Panama and Trinidad accordingly. Residing in Curacao with his wife and four kids, Tim has enjoyed working in the shipping industry throughout the Caribbean and central/south America, with a great knowledge of this region.In his spare time he enjoys vintage cars and boating around the lower Caribbean.


Kent Grass has been a part of the Maritime Industry since 1984, as one of the founding members and co-owners of All-Sea Underwater Solutions. With the acquisition of All-Sea in March 2017, Kent joined Subsea Global Solutions as the Vice President and General Manager for the Northeast North America region.

A life long resident of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, where he resides with his wife Stacey, Kent has set precedent as an industry leader for his entire career. He was a part of the very first underwater stern seal repair completed in the world, and was the first Canadian to receive his Class A certified Wet Welding certification from Hydroweld USA.

Kent has sat on the advisory board for Holland College's Diving Program, on the Industry Advisory Board for WorkSafeNB, and is on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Diving Contractors. Kent remains active in the local community – he is the past president of the Saint John Business Club, was recently nominated to sit on the Board of Governors of his alma matter, Rothesay Netherwood School, and is Chairman of the Board for Shining Horizons Therapeutic Riding Association – a cause near and dear to his heart.

A former rugby and hockey player, Kent remains an avid sports fan to this day. In his spare time, he takes care of Driftwood Farms – his property where all the therapeutic riding program horses are stabled. When he needs to relax and clear his head, he takes off to the family cottage at Shampers Bluff, a beautiful and scenic spot on the Saint John River.


Hugh Healey has over 20 years in the Maritime Transportation Industry. He started his career sailing on various vessels on the Great Lakes and coastwise ferries, before he came ashore to work for APM Terminals in Newark, NJ. He later moved to the West Coast where he garnered over 15 years of experience with Sealand Services (Horizon Lines) in various capacities including sales, operations, logistics and as General Manager for Guam. Most recently, Hugh was Vice President of the West Coast for Zim American Integrated Shipping Services, Ltd.

Hugh currently holds a 3rd Mates license, is a graduate from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and earned an MBA from Pepperdine School of Business.

Hugh is married, a father of two children and resides in Huntington Beach, CA. He spends his spare time salt water fishing, riding motorcycles, or chasing his kids around the park.


Sean joined Subsea Global Solutions in May 2018, bringing 23 years of shipping experience at APL (first under NOL and subsequently as part of the CMA CGM Group). His initial responsibilities in 1994 were highlighted byoversized project cargo shipments in the Energy sector includingproject planning, transportation, and overseas plant construction in conjunction with NOL's Special Cargo Department. The acquisition of American President Linesby NOL in 1997moved Sean into management, including a number of roles with increasing responsibility over the next two decades. As Pacific Southwest / Northern Mexico Sales Manager he was involved in establishing the initial Asia to Ensenada, Mexico direct container vessel service. As Western US Sales Directorhe helped build APL's largest ever commercial territory. As Global Sales Director and later asHead of Strategic Accounts for the Americashe traveled internationally to negotiate some of APL's largest global contracts. Finally, as Vice President of the Key Account Program he helped deliver a significant percentage of APL's commercial business with a highly focused team.

A veteran of the Unites States Air Force, Sean holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science / Foreign Affairs from California State University Los Angeles, and an M.B.A.specializing in International Marketing from Wichita State University.

Sean and his wife Jennifer enjoy traveling and hiking, and have two (grown up) kids named Lynette and Marc.


Mark is the Area Manager for the Northwest North America region. He directly manages both the SGS Vancouver and SGS Port Angeles Offices. He began his career in underwater ship maintenance and repair in 1983, with All-Sea Enterprises Ltd. as a Commercial Diver. As part of the original management team, he has held numerous positions including Project Manager, Operations Manager, Director of Propeller Repair Operations and in 2009, Mark became the General Manager for the Vancouver office.

As a globally renowned expert in underwater straightening repairs of large ship propellers, his experience extends to engineering and supervision in the field.

Mark, the father of a grown daughter, resides with his wife Jennifer, high above downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. During his spare time, he enjoys sailing to the many islands in the Salish Sea or hiking and snowshoeing in the nearby Coast mountains.


Wouter Sanders started his career with Subsea Global Solutions ten (10) years ago as a Commercial Diver working for the Curacao office. After several years in the field, he was promoted to Operations Manager for the East Coast North American region (Curacao and Miami) to subsequently where he is now, Area Manager for the Gulf Coast North America region.

Wouter is a former Dutch Marine who served 10-years of active duty including combat operations in Afghanistan. He currently lives with his wife and two sons in Houston Texas. In his free time, he can be found in the gym, running or on his bike.


Brian was born in New Zealand and immigrated to Canada where he took up commercial diving in 1999. Immediately after qualifying as a commercial diver Brian was employed as a commercial diver with All-Sea Enterprises Ltd. in Vancouver Canada. Brian has remained there his entire career.

With 18 years of diving experience (and still getting wet on occasions) he has qualified as a Certified Wet Welder, Seal Technician and Level III Propeller Technician. He was instrumental in bonding the first seals underwater in a dry environment utilizing a flexible habitat system in Vancouver, Canada.

Moving to South Korea in 2011 as Asia Regional Manager Brian opened a new office to provide advanced services to the Korean diving industry. Brian sees exciting new opportunities for future growth and development into Asian markets and he looks forward to the additional challenges.

Leisure time revolves around travelling to the Yukon in a truck and camper, fly fishing, hiking, hunting and photography.
